Reference Signal Meter

Barium is available in two versions:
* Barium is a single-channel reference bargraph meter with 20 LEDs
* Barium Duo is a dual-channel reference bargraph meter with 2x 20 LEDs

The bargraph meters have:
* 42 dB range with peak hold
* dBu and dBFS scale

Due to it’s very precise calibration, Barium can be perfectly used as reference meter.
As standard, the Barium meters are set to -18 dBFS = 0 dBu
This can be changed to -20 / -22 / -24 dBFS = 0 dBu, using the dip switch on the main PCB.

Barium is a single channel Reference Peak Signal Meter.
The 20 LED bargraph meter has a range of 42 dB with dBu and dBFS scale.

Barium can be inserted anywhere in the signal path.
To allow this, Barium input is hard-wired to the output, making sure the signal is not interrupted or gets coloured in any way.

Barium Duo is a dual-channel Reference Peak Signal Meter.
The two rows of 20 LED’s each have a range of 42 dB with dBu and dBFS scale.

But as you know, 500 modules are single-channel.
To allow Barium Duo to read two channels, both input and output of the 500 module are used.
To get 2-channels in (left / right) Barium Duo comes with an XLR Female-to-Female adapter for your 500 rack.
Left channel comes from the input, right channel comes from the output (using the adapter).
As a consequence, Barium Duo does not have signal-through, so you’ll need to split the signal to feed Barium Duo.

Barium and Barium Duo are available as 500 module with “Silver” or “Black” faceplate
(Barium is not available as Octa module - there is no advantage - but Barium can of course be used in Octa racks)
